Cllr Georgia Gould was re-elected Chair of London Councils and other executive members were elected as follows:

Sean Harriss, former Chief Executive of the London Borough of Harrow and Chief Executive Lead for Children’s Services, has now stepped down.

We are pleased to let Directors know that the new Chief Executive lead for Children’s Services is Ade Adetosoye, CE of the London Borough of Bromley. Ade will Chair the LIIA Board and the London Safeguarding Children Executive.

We are delighted to launch details of ‘The Big Listen: Valuing Children’s Social Workers’, workforce research that LIIA is undertaking to support ALDCS commitment to an ambitious workforce programme.


The Leadership in Colour Programme was created in August 2020 at the request of ALDCS to help address the under-representation of Global Majority staff in senior leadership positions within London’s Children’s Services.



The Adolescent Safeguarding in London practice handbook is now available, commissionined by LIIA and funded by the DfE via the Recovery Fund.


The Government have published a green paper, outlining their proposed changes to the system for children and young people with SEND and in Alternative Provision.


Last week we announded the media launch of the Your Choice programme, centred on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) tools and techniques being delivered to 2,500 children and young people at greatest risk of violence in every London Borough.
